Yesterday, I took Ethan in for his 15-month check-up and immunization shots. Weight: 24 lbs, 2 oz (50%); height: 32″ (75%); and head 18 7/8″ (50-75%).
So, what’s Ethan been doing? Well…he still enjoys bath time. The splashing is incorrigible. Even though I cover myself with a towel, I still come out looking like I’ve lost a water balloon fight. Anyway, here are a few pics from the tub:
“It’s true. He does.”
“Misty water-colored memories…of the way we were…”
“A pouf? What am I, a girl?”
Here are Ethan and his friend Ryland, who comes over to play most Wednesday afternoons (this semester). The two boys don’t really play together much – still too young – but it’s awfully cute when they do interact.
“…and then she stuck me in the dryer. The dryer! I’m not even kidding.”
And here’s Ethan with his all-time favorite toy, Playskool Busy Gears, which my mom bought for him a while back. (Apparently, my nephew loved it, as well.) It lights up, plays music, and has 11 interchangeable gears that go round and round (and you can even bite them when the fancy strikes). What else does a toy need? He will sit with this thing for 15 minutes straight, staring at it, oftentimes putting it right up to his face as the gears fall off. The tune gets stuck in my head at least once a day.
“Is that a palm tree? No! A dinosaur? Shoot! I lost it again.”
“MOM! Are you sure this is a good idea?”
“Excuse me. Do you know if this brush is ADA-approved?”
One of the funniest things Ethan started doing – back in January – is dancing. Now, whenever I say “music,” he walks over to the iPod player and starts jamming before the music starts. Of course, by dancing, I mean clapping and doing squats and occasionally moving from side to side. I think he has more rhythm than I do…which is not necessarily saying a lot, but still. Here’s one of his signature moves:
“Dad may do P90X, but can he do this?”
As for me and Baby Googer #2, we’re doing well. Not much else to report. Maybe one day I’ll get a picture of me and the baby bump on here, but…not today. 🙂 Maybe next time, Adrienne.
